The Ghost VFX Motion Graphics Team created the main title for the CBS sitcom How We Roll. Head of Design Levi Ahmu created the title decal. I conceptualized the title sequence (one of several concepts that Levi and I came up with) and also modeled, textured, lit, and animated the bowling ball and bowling alley in Maya. Maya was also used to simulate the strike. Different ball colors and patterns were generated for each episode of the first season. All CG elements were rendered in Redshift and After Effects was used for final comp.
How We Roll, based on professional bowler Tom Smallwood’s life, stars Pete Holmes as Tom, a stoic Midwest husband and dad who gets laid off from a car assembly line and makes the extraordinary decision to provide for his family by following his dream of becoming a professional bowler.
